NANAWRIMO Camp 2013 - Writing Challenge

Writing during Camp NANOWRIMO this April.
Another writing marathon is going on in April.  During this month the goal can be set by the individual, and many 'campers' chose to write 25,000 - 30,000 words instead of the usual 50,000 words like in the November write a book in a month ritual.
I love the fact that NANOWRIMO is a platform that encourages everyone to push themselves - this is a healthy competition to be your best.  At the same time it does not infringe upon any one's self worth.  As a result of the group writing experience, many people do just the opposite of competing against each other, and encourage each other on instead.  For me, this is the real way competition should be -
I chose to write my goal of 50,000 words.  I have been working on the story line for my second book for some time now.  I hope to use this opportunity to get a good start on the draft.  So far the work is going well, and my word count at 15K so far on day 4.
I may not be posting much else this month, and just wanted people to know I did not fall off the planet, or a mountain.  Instead I am challenging myself to:
  1. Write more words everyday
  2. Push the limits and turn off the internal editor
  3. Embrace my creativity
  4. Track my daily progress
I hope all the other campers enjoy themselves and meet their own personal goals.  Look for another post in a month!  Or sooner if I can't stay away and need inspiration.
